2023: Recipient of The Jørn Olsen Prize 2023: 25,000 DKK from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Aarhus University.
2022: PI of an ERC Synergy grant for the project "Untangling the biologic and social causes f low fertility in modern societies" (BIOSFER): 12,000,000 EUR (145,000,000 DKK) with Siri Håberg and Mikko Myrskyla.
2017: Recipient of "Main supervisor of the year" as an appreciation of an extraordinary  effort in the guidance of PhD students, The PhD Association and the Graduate School of Health, Aarhus University.
2015: Winner of a Sapere Aude Starting Grant from the Danish Council for Independent Research.
2009: Winner of Young Scientist Award Competition at the Nordic Association of Andrology.
2008: Winner of the Aarhus University Research Foundation (AUFF) PhD Award as "recognition of an outstanding PhD project completed at Aarhus University".
2007: Winner of first prize for oral presentation at "Day of Research" at Aarhus University Hospital.
2006: Winner of scholarship from Fulbright Association for an eight months research stay at the School of Public Health, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.

FELLOWSHIP FOR A LONGER RESEARCH STAY
Scholarship from Fulbright Association for an eight months research stay in 2006-2007 at Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA during my PhD.

SUPERVISION AND MENTORING
Main supervisor of 12 PhD students (four ongoing per May 2023) and co-supervisor of 13 PhD students (three ongoing). In total, my papers have receive 4,360 citations through October 12, 2022 (SCOPUS). My H-index in SCOPUS is currently 34 (October 12, 2022).
