2023-2025: PI of the research project Genetic Hauntings – Pre-patient illness narratives in the era of direct-to-consumer genetic testing. Funded by DFF/IRFD (FP1).

2021-2023: PI of the research project PeerCare – Producing continuity of care in peer-led online communities for patients with chronic conditions. Funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation.

2021-2023: Main applicant behind grant for the journal Conjunctions. Funded by DFF/IRFD.

2020-2022: PI of the research project Almost perfect, always flawed? – a mixed methods investigation of the role of body ideals, social media use and shame in fitness related self-tracking practices of young Danes. Funded by Anti Doping Denmark (ADD).

2019-2022: Participant in the research project Narrative medicine in postgraduate training of physicians focused on exploring the use of (digital) illness narratives in postgraduate medical training (Narrativ medicin for uddannelseslæger). Funded by Central Denmark Region.

2018-2019: PI of the research project Young cancer patients’ use and experience of social media with Lisbeth Klastrup (IT University Copenhagen) and Karen Hvidtfeldt (University of Southern Denmark) as participants. Funded by The Danish Cancer Society.  

2018-2019: Co-PI of the knowledge sharing project Engaging knowledge: Models and experiences in aesthetic and participatory knowledge communication. Funded by CoC Playful Minds.

2017-2020: Participant in the research project PUSH on the HPV-vaccine (social) media debate in Denmark (Når vaccine-reaktioner smitter). Funded by the Danish Cancer Society and AUFF. 

2017-2019: Participant in SILO: Socially inclusive Literature Operation with a subproject focused on literature in health institutions. Funded by EU; Creative Europe.

2016-2018: Member of steering group of Take Part – Research network on cultural participation. Funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research.

2015-2017: Co-PI and member of steering group of research project on cultural participation: RECcORD: Rethinking European Cultural Centres in a European Perspective. Funded by Aarhus 2017, AU, KHiD, ENCC.

2014-2016: Participant in research project on sustainable citizen participation: Greening the City. Funded by DCE – Danish Centre for Environment and Energy.
