The research interests are primarily directed towards using applied and analytical mathematics, computational algorithm and optimisation technics (data assimilation and parameter optimisation) to study physical and chemical systems as well as engineering problems and processes in diverse media, including the troposphere and the stratosphere, laboratory chamber experiments, renewable energy systems and traffic movements, and link these studies to their impact on human behaviour. Allan’s expertise ranges from (i) quantum, quantum-classical and classical calculations on molecular systems, (ii) modelling of complex chemical, physical and aerosol systems, to (iii) modelling of renewable energy systems biogas facilities and solar cell technologies.

students, and PhD. Students.

Teaching experience:

Is/have been teacher at Graduate and Undergraduate courses at BTECH/AU, Chemical Institute/KU, and Geophysical Institute/KU.
Have been lecture at various PhD schools in Europe, and been co-organiser of summer schools in Denmark and Russia.
