Profil

My primary research focus is to improve the postharvest keeping quality of fruit & vegetables and thus minimize the food waste. I have worked with a wide range of fruit & vegetables (wild rocket, banana, apples, onions, mango, and root crops) and potted ornamental plants.

I specialize in:

  1. Measurement of volatile organic compounds released from fresh fruit & vegetables.
  2. Controlled & modified atmosphere technology.
  3. Ethylene management.
  4. Microclimate monitoring & control.
  5. Packaging technology.

Education:

PhD in Food Science (Aarhus University, 2015).

MSc in Food Engineering (Middle East Technical University, 2012).
