I am an Associate Professor of Human Security and Anthropology at Aarhus University. Here, I am also the Director of Aarhus Centre for Conflict Management (Aarcon) and the Coordinator of the Master’s degree program in Human Security. I work with conflict management in practice, as victim–offender mediator in crime cases for the East Jutland Police, and I have undertaken consultancy tasks for several organizations and companies, including the Danish National Police, Victim Support Denmark, and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, I am the the PI of the project 'After Access to Justice: Exploring the Development of Local Social Dynamics and Perceptions of Justice in Northern Uganda after the ICC's Access to Justice Project,' funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, and co-PI of the 'Konfliktråd Impact Project,' funded by TrygFonden.
I teach courses on security, conflict management, and restorative justice. I have been selected as the nominee for the teaching prize of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science at the department, school and faculty level at Aarhus University.
