As part of the conference, CISA brought the PRONI exhibition to Aarhus in celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918. It tells is the hidden ‘herstory’ in the history of the UK Parliament, including the Irish women – and men – who championed change, and who are not the usually highlighted. Amongst some of the prominent figures are Mabel Small, the sisters Eva Gore-Booth and Constance Markievicz, and Francis Sheehy Skeffington. It is now exhibited in Vandrehallen at Aarhus University through November, is open to all, and is used as teaching material at the English Department, Intercultural Studies, and History Department.
