WorkAble, an EU‐funded research project examined how education and vocational training policies support young people in their transition to adulthood so that they are not only seen as human resources, but are able to become responsible and sociable young adults. 13 universities and institutes from different disciplines ‐ education, sociology, economics, political science, social work – and from 9 European countries (Germany, UK, Italy, France, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Austria) have jointly engaged in Workable on this question. The project is coordinated by Bielefeld University (Germany).
