Understanding Translation

Research output: Book/anthology/dissertation/reportBookEducation

Understanding Translation is designed as a textbook for courses on the theory and practice of translation in general and of particular types of translation - such as interpreting, screen translation and literary translation. The aim of the book is to help you gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of translation and to provide you with a conceptual framework for the analysis of various aspects of professional translation. Intended readers are students of translation and languages, but the book will also be relevant for others who are interested in the theory and practice of translation - translators, language teachers, translation users and literary, TV and film critics, for instance. Discussions focus on translation between Danish and English.
