OI-Net.eu project, The European academic network for Open Innovation

Project

See relations at Aarhus University
Research on open innovation has been of ever increasing interest in the field of innovation management and is currently, however rather inconsistently, being integrated into academic teaching. Open innovation practices are integrated into many companies as well, but such integration is not always easy.

The OI-NET project focuses on researching what new skill- and mind-sets are needed for those involved in open innovation practices in companies. It does so by gathering insights into current best practices and methodologies employed, as well as investigating current curricula on open innovation. Given the rising market need for open innovation, it may call for open innovation as a teaching discipline of its own, which the OI-NET project aims to create over the course of three years.
