Since the 1980s I have been a member of/chairman of several appointment and selection committees at universities and educational institutions in Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden. I have also participated in evaluations of political science research in Austria, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom for their respective research councils.
