Natascha Loebnitz has earned her PhD in Business (major in Marketing) at Bond University in Australia, where she worked for three years as a researcher and lecturer.  Natascha has taught various courses in Marketing and Research Methods. Before starting her PhD she worked for 1 ½ years as a tutor and lecturer at Griffith University in Australia. She holds a Master of Science in Marketing and Sport Management from Barry University in USA. Furthermore she holds a B.A. in Marketing from Saxion Hogeschool, the Netherlands, and University of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, USA.

PhD
The aim of the PhD has been to explore liability-of-foreignness (LOF) and how multinational corporations (MNCs) can develop competitive strategies in order to adapt to consumers’ perceptions of tangible and intangible sources of LOF as a result of negative stigmatization of marketing mix elements used in the foreign market.

More precisely the project included:
The development of an conceptual framework to measure liability-of-foreignness at the individual level of analysis
A cross cultural comparison of the impact of country-of-origin effect on liability-of-foreignness
Empirical analysis of the impact of country-of-origin effect on consumer preference rankings for foreign products across eight product categories
Empirical analysis of the impact of country-of-origin effect on consumer preference rankings for foreign services across seven service categories
The Examination of invention techniques to reduce stigmatization of foreign products and services
