Dan Ariely


Dan Ariely is a researcher, professor, and author in the field of behavioural economics, where he explores the topics of irrational behaviour and human decision-making. In his own words: “I do research in behavioural economics and try to describe it in plain language. These findings have enriched my life, and my hope is that they will do the same for you.”

Dan holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from University of North Carolina and a second PhD in Business Administration from Duke University, and worked for several years as Professor at MIT.

Currently, Dan is the James B. Duke Professor of Psychology and Behavioural Economics at Duke University. In addition, he is the founder of the Center for Advanced Hindsight, a Behavioral Economics research lab at Duke University.

In connection with this work at Aarhus University, he will be collaborating with researchers within the joint field of Psychology and Behavioural Economics.
