I am currently writing my dissertation in which I develop a Heideggerian approach to social ontology arguing that the shared world is the basic element of social life. I draw on a range of Heidegger’s work (from the earliest phenomenological lecture courses to the later emphasis on Ereignis), which I bring into dialogue with contemporary (e.g. Zahavi, Schmid, Waldenfels, Nancy) and historical (e.g. Sartre, Levinas, Arendt, Derrida) approaches to social phenomenology.

I am also interested in philosophical anthropology and the question of humanism as well as what one, in lack of a better term, could call continental ethics (especially different conceptions of alterity and responsibility).
