My research focuses on globalisation, international relations and migration in relation to China and the impact in general of mobility and especially in regard to cultural identities. I am interested in the consequences of China's diaspora politics and their impact on transnational relations and on China's soft power potentials. I am also engaged in research on heritage studies in relation to emigration and how to strengthen intercultural competencies and communication in relation to the globalisation of Danish companies.
My research interests are reflected in my teaching activities within the field of migration studies and interculturalism. I am presently engaged in developing new teaching modules on intercultural competencies. Intercultural skills are important for all students in their future working lives. I am very interested in developing new 'blended' teaching that can support motivation and enhance learning.
