Profile

I am academic employed at the Department of Engineering and member of the research group Automation and System Engineering (AUS). The objective is to establish the foundation for developing new technological solutions in a biological environment, characterized by complexity in the requirements and working conditions. The group conduct research into the application and development of sustainable machinery systems. Special attention is given to quality, working conditions and profitability as well as to environmentally friendly production methods with special reference to preservation of soil fertility, minimisation of pesticide and energy input, and reduction of nutrient losses.

My primary research area is harvest and post harvest technique for grain, seed and energy crops. The work includes research and development of small boilers (farm heating plants within the range 50kW - 1MW) for combustion of straw and energy crops. Moreover my research includes methods for non-chemical weed control with special emphasis on weed control in row crops.

Other functions

  • Quality Manager on accredited tests (DANAK) concerning security of cabs for tractors etc.
  • Responsible for the course “Harvest and handling technologies for straw and energy crops”. (Biosystems Engineering, Master level)
