Feb. 2014 – Present: Aarhus University, Ph.D. Researcher. Aarhus, Denmark.

  • Investigating and analyzing the impact of business context and organizational characteristics on corporate foresight to consequently improve firm performance. Data analyses (SEM, SmartPLS) on a large dataset will be performed.

Feb. 2013 – July 2013: University of Groningen, Master’s Researcher. Groningen, The Netherlands.

  • Investigating the antecedents of corporate foresight by literature review Developing an extensive survey including newly formulated items, reviewed and pilot-tested (130 items)

Feb. 2012 – July 2012: University of Groningen, Pre-Master’s Researcher. Groningen, The Netherlands

  • Researched how an entrepreneurial orientation influences innovation performance, and consequently firm performance (mediation model) Data analyses performed in SPSS.

Teaching experience

Tymen Jissink is a PhD fellow at the department of Business Administration at Aarhus University, Denmark. His research interests are corporate foresight, innovation management, and strategic management. His current research focuses on the reasons to engage in corporate foresight for organizations from both a contextual and organizational point of view, as well as how corporate foresight contributes to a firm's innovation performance to attain sustainable competitive advantage.
