Pei Sze Chow is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Media and Journalism. Her project is supported by the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship, and is titled 'Sustaining A Regional Screen Ecosystem In A Small Nation: Aarhus and the West Danish Film Fund, 2002–2019'.

Her current research is centered on mapping the production and circulation of screen media in a peripheral, regional context, focusing on the networks formed between screen practitioners and cultural institutions at the micro level. Other research interests include representations of space and place, the cinemas of small nations, and Nordic noir on film and TV.

Pei Sze was awarded her PhD in Scandinavian Film at University College London (UCL) in 2016. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and holds a PGDipEd (Singapore). She has over 10 years of experience as an educator in Singapore and the UK. She taught BA and MA courses on international cinema (with a focus on Europe and Southeast Asia) at UCL and the University of Greenwich. She has also taught courses in UCL's Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc) degree programme, focusing on approaches to interdisciplinarity and coordinating student consultency projects.
