Profile

Marija Banovic is a Postdoctoral researcher at MAPP Centre - Research on Value Creation in the Food sector at the Department of Management, Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University. Marija earned her PhD in Agricultural Engineering - Consumer Behaviour & Food Marketing from Instituto Superior de Agronomia, University of Lisbon, Portugal and her Engineer's degree in Agricultural Economics from Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Marija’s main research focus is in the areas of food marketing and consumer behaviour, with emphasis on consumer perception and food quality.

Teaching experience

Marija has served in a variety of teaching roles and have taught and lectured multiple subjects from the areas of Economics, Economic Psychology, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing, and Qualitative & Quantitative Research Methods both at BSc and MSc levels and in three different languages: English, Portuguese, and Serbo-Croatian. Marija’s teaching roles have ranged from lecturing different topics to leading discussions, tutoring, helping with the exams, seminars, reviewing papers and supervisions. Research has always been Marija’s primary focus, but as a lecturer she has always worked to bring research into the classroom and improve her teaching abilities through teaching and learning courses.
