About me

As a philosopher of science at a Faculty of Science & Technology I am engaged in making philosophy of science relevant to science education and for scientific practice.

I am an active member of AAAS, PSA. EPSA and SPSP, working for increased collaboration between history, philosophy and sociology of science and practicing scientists.

My primary research interests are interdisciplinarity, scientific collaboration, scientific change, and aresponsible conduct of science.

I am PI of the research project "Philosophy of Contemporary Science in Practice" which is funded by the Danish Research Council for the Humanities as part of the program for Female Reseach Leaders.

I am also PI (together with co-PIs Samuel Schindler and Peter Sandøe) of the Danish Research Network for Philosophy of Science funded by the Danish Research Council for the Humanities.

I have previously been co-team leader (together with Team leader Marcel Weber) of Team B: The life sciences in the ESF research network "The Philosophy of Science in a European Persepctive".

I teach philosophy of science for science students, especially in the programs of nanoscience, medicinal chemistry and the life sciences. In previous positions I have also taught philosophy of biomedical science and public health to students in medicine, human biology, dentistry and public health.

I also teach responsible conduct of research for new PhD students at the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Right now...

In the fall semester 2014 I am on sabbatical at Institut für Philosophie, Literatur-, Wissenschafts- und Technikgeschichte, Technische Universität Berlin.

Upcoming talks include sessions on history and philosophy of interdisciplinarity at the joint PSA/HSS conference in Chicago, Nov. 6-9.

You can also find me on Academia.edu and on ResearchGate.
