Dai suoni alla lingua in uso: Sviluppare consapevolezza fonologica per favorire l'acquisizione e l'interazione nell'apprendimento dell'italiano LS a livelli iniziali

Being able to understand and produce the sound system of the target language is a building block in the process of language learning. In spite of this, pronunciation is often neglected in FL/SL curricula and teaching practice. This project’s goal is to contribute to the field of FLT by designing, testing and refining learning paths for Danish beginners of Italian, with the aim of fostering “phonological awareness” and overall language skills.
Building on convergent research results about the impact of pronunciation on oral interaction in FL/SL, and the influence of phonological competence on the whole process of FL learning, this project will integrate intensive training in pronunciation with activities aimed at a range of language components, from grammar to comprehension to pragmatic competence, always based on authentic material.
The project’s methodology is based on design research, an approach to educational intervention whose goal is to implement theoretically founded, innovative learning approaches in real learning settings.
