Cultural Transformation Research Program

Se relationer på Aarhus Universitet
Art and culture have become fundamental social resources, adding notions of innovation, creativity and experience to those of education and communication. In relation to politics and identity they have taken on novel associations: new media technologies, for example, have democratized the production and distribution of culture, in the process making participants and producers of users and consumers.

The research program is concerned with the social roles performed today by cultural production, circulation and transformation, and with how those roles have change through the 20th century and into the 21st century. The program brings together researchers from different disciplines at School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University, thereby facilitating inter-disciplinary approaches to the study of culture at the new Institute.
