John Parm Ulhøi

 

Profile

John P. Ulhøi was appointed full Professor of OMT in 1998. He earned a PhD in Business Administration from Aarhus School of Business (1991). His academic work has examined knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship, and how new technology, innovation and environmental regulation affect existing organizations and their growth and development. In generic terms, his research focuses on how organizational agents, acts, behaviour and/or applied techniques hinder, enable and/or facilitate opportunity explorations and exploitation and how planned changes and technological innovations in for-profit organizations.

 

Research expertise

He has research experiences from the following subfields: Organization and Management Theory, Organization Behaviour, Strategy and Business Development, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Renewal, Technology and Innovation Management and Environmental Management and CSR.

 

Teaching experience

He has been involved in the MSc, MBA and PhD Programs: in Strategy and Business Development; Organization Theory; Technology and Innovation Management; Environmental Management and CSR; Managing Digital Transformation; Research Methods and ‘how to publish scholarly papers’. Dr Ulhøi has been involved in joint MBA-activities with European Summer School for Advanced Management (5 European universities), Warwick University, University of Brighton, University of Stellenbosch. He has been invited as Invited Scholar in PhD-seminars in Scandinavian, European and Asian countries.

 

Interdisciplinary experiences (from joint research grants)
Ulhøi has been involved in the preparation and management of 9 major research initiatives (centres, consortia) running over several years and with external funding from a few millions and up to 45 M DKK.
