PhD Research Title: 3D Soil Characterization and Mapping Using Proximal Soil Sensors Fusion.

  • This research project focuses on using proximal multi-sensory data collection and analysis for rapid, cost-effective and accurate quantitative modelling of soil organic matter and texture, which are key parameters in plant growth.
  • The characterization and mapping will be on agricultural field scale and in 3D up to the depth of 1 meter.
  • The project will be divided into 3 to 4 inter-related sub-projects.

Summary:

I am a PhD Researcher at the Soil Physics Research Group, Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, Denmark. I am mainly involved in research on the use of proximal soil sensor fusion for rapid, accurate and cost-effective modeling and mapping of soil constituents and characteristics such as soil organic carbon and texture in 2 and 3 Dimensions.
