Profil

Kristian studied medicine at South Danish University and qualified as medical doctor in 2007. He is a dedicated internationally experienced educator and facilitator of simulation based education and faculty development. He concluded his PhD on debriefing and realism in simulation-based education from Centre for Health Sciences Education, Aarhus University in 2015. Part of Kristian’s PhD studies was conducted as a national Australian study from Monash University where he since 2013 holds the position Adjunct Research Fellow.

Kristian is part of the Simulation Committee for The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), contributing to a broader understanding and knowledge of simulation based education.

In Denmark he co-directs a Medical Education Program for doctors on patient safety and transportation, and contributes to faculty supervision and continues professional development.

Kristian is devoted to medical education research with a focus on feedback and debriefing both in and outside simulation-based education.

He is currently employed at Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Aarhus University Hospital.
